Foreword
Being Frank. Every birthday is a milestone but let’s face it, some just come and go like any other day; a non-event barely registering a blip and readily forgotten after replying to the last e-card and social media message. Arriving at a big milestone after traversing many trials, tribulations, joy and delight over eight decades deserves something more: Something much more.
About the Book
I have been researching this subject, that of my own origin, for many years. What I didn’t realise during this time was that my curiosity would lead to manifesting this chronicle. Like so many of us, we have dusty boxes of old pictures, letters, cards, albums all hidden in garages, lofts and under the bed. Some of us dream of finding enough time one day to organise our prized sentimental possessions into vaguely logical piles.
